KALIBO, Aklan – The representative of the province won 2nd runner-up in the first-ever Miss Millennial Philippines at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
The 18-year-old half-Italian beauty, Eleonora Valentina Laorenza, from New Washington, Aklan joined the beauty pageant in the GMA 7 noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Laorenza was among the 38 entrants from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The Sept. 30 event was the culmination of the candidates’ two-month tourism campaigns, highlighting the beauty of their respective provinces.
In the interview portion, Laorenza was asked: As a millennial, [how would you] describe a good day at home?
Laorenza answered that putting away her phone and spending time with her loved ones is her version of a good day at home.
“Once you let down of your phone, life happens,” she said.
Laorenza is last year’s Mutya It Kalibo Ati-Atihan 1st runner-up and the reigning Miss Garcia College of Technology Palaro Senior High School. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
