BACOLOD City – A jeepney driver ended up dead in a road accident in Barangay Zone 2, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the driver as Woody Desuyo, 40, of Hacienda San Jose, Barangay Mabini, Cadiz City.

Desuyo was on his way to the Ceres Terminal in Cadiz City when he lost control of the jeepney he was driving after it paddled through the water on the road, a police report showed.

Desuyo tumbled out of the vehicle, which fell on its left side, the report further stated.

The jeepney then hit Desuyo, police said.

Desuyo sustained severe head injuries and was brought to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”/PN
