ILOILO City – Two theft suspects were caught yesterday on Valeria Street, Barangay Edganzon, City Proper.
Julius Caballero, 21, of Barangay Cubay, Jaro district and Daniel Buenafe, 25, of Barangay East Baluarte, Molo were accused of taking five packs of cigarettes worth P281, a police report showed.
Security guard Hermegildo Geron arrested the suspects. He told the police they took the items from the Iloilo Supermart warehouse at around 3:10 a.m.
But only one pack of cigarettes was recovered from the suspects upon their arrest.
Caballero and Buenafe were detained in the Police Station 1 custodial facility./PN
