ILOILO City – A woman from Zone 5, Barangay Boulevard, Molo district reported to the police that her family was threatened by her brother and niece.
Rosalinda Apostol, 49, claimed that her 20-year-old niece Lilalyn yelled at her on Tuesday, saying, “Traidor ka, ambisyosa, biga-on, ilegal gina-ubra sang bana mo,” but she just ignored it, a police report stated.
The following day, her brother Leo – Lilalyn’s father – made a threat against their brother Joemarie, according to Rosalinda.
While holding a rooster in front of their house, Leo said, “Tan-awa ang manok, gintraidor naman ako ni Joemarie, patyon ko gid na sia,” and added some “abusive words,” Apostol told the police.
Lilalyn was also planning something bad against Joemarie’s daughter, Apostol said but did not say what exactly.
All these caused Apostol “annoyance and anxiousness,” prompting her to report to the Molo police station.
Police referred the family dispute to the barangay lupon.
Leo and Lilalyn could not be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
