ILOILO City – In Barangay Mabolo-Delgado, City Proper, a storeowner was accused of attacking a neighbor.

The complainant, 47-year-old Rey Nolan Sevilla, sustained wounds on the neck, shoulder and hand, a police report showed.

Sevilla told the police that he went to Ben’s Store at around 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 13 to buy beer but store owner Jonathan Mateo, 46, refused to sell him one.

An altercation ensued, the police report stated.

Sevilla claimed Mateo struck him with an unidentified sharp object.

Mateo cannot be reached for comment as of this writing. Police referred the dispute to the barangay lupon./PN
