ILOILO City – Six men engaged in a brawl in Barangay Hibao-an Sur, Mandurriao district, a police report showed.

Joemar Pedrosa, 26, and Arnel Consolacion, 22, told the police they were attacked and just fought back.

They said they were walking in the village at around 11 p.m. on Dec. 15 when 21-year-old John Lloyd Baron bumped Pedrosa’s shoulders.

Baron then struck Pedrosa with an unidentified hard object on the head. A fistfight ensued, the complainants claimed.

Instead of pacifying them, Baron’s three unidentified male companions helped maul Pedrosa. That was when Consolacion charged at Pedrosa’s attackers, the police report stated.

Locals broke up the fight, police said.

Pedrosa sustained a laceration on the head and contusions around the left eye.

Consolacion, on the other hand, complained of body pains.

Police referred the case to the barangay lupon./PN
