BACOLOD City – A lifeless man was found at a waiting shed in front of the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Barangay Lantad, Silay City, Negros Occidental yesterday.
Police were still trying to identify the body as of this writing.
According the police, the man was estimated to be 5 feet, 5 inches tall.
The man was clad in a gray long-sleeved shirt with a blue undershirt and maong pants, police said. He was taken to the hospital where Dr. Gilbert Alojado pronounced him dead.
Hospital security guard Roel Panaguiton discovered the body at around 2:45 a.m.
In Pontevedra town, a 75-year-old widower was found dead in his house in Hacienda Monserat, Sitio Bungyod, Barangay San Juan.
Police officers have not found any sign of foul play around where Jose Capasilan Sanchez was found.
Residents John Mark Durdas, 21, and Jeffry Baladhay discovered the already decomposing body at around 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 15. They informed Jonel Miraflor, 42, who reported to the Pontevedra police station.
Sanchez’s body will be subject to a postmortem examination, police said./PN
