ILOILO City – Sometimes mediating a fight hurts you.
A 21-year-old resident of Kalibo, Aklan learned this the hard way while in Barangay Balabag in Boracay Island.
Jeomar Tembrevilla landed in a hospital in the capital town after he was stabbed on the lower part of his left chest, a police report showed.
His friend Jayson Agubat, also from Kalibo, got into a heated argument with Claudio Cabatac, 35, of Malinao, Aklan on Jan. 6.
Tembrevilla was trying to mediate when Cabatac stabbed him, police said.
Cabatac tried to escape but was later arrested. He was detained at the police station in Malay./PN
