ILOILO City – For threatening his brother, an ax-wielding man from Burgos Street, Barangay Ortiz, City Proper was arrested.
Esmael Ga, 42, was detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1.
No less than his 37-year-old brother Michael arrested him.
Michael was in their house watching television at around 7:3o p.m. on Jan. 7 when Esmael confronted him, a police report showed.
Esmael was believed drunk at the time. Wielding an ax, he yelled at his brother, “Kagab-i ka pa!”
He also challenged the latter to a fight, and then hacked their concrete wall and yelled again, “Gwa da kay patyon ta ka,” the police report stated.
This prompted Michael to place Esmael under citizen arrest with the help of village watchmen, and turn him over to Police Station 1.
Virnaldo Mercado, one of the tanods who helped arrest Esmael, recovered from the latter the 16-inch long ax./PN
