ILOILO City – Two cousins were arrested for allegedly stabbing to death a resident of Barangay Cabugao Oeste, Panay, Capiz.
The victim, 36-year-old Ferdinand Solani, was taken to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, a police report showed.
Solani had a heated argument with Russel Dolpe, 28, and cousin Roger Dolpo, 47, of Barangay Lus-Onan, Panay, while at an amusement fair in Cabugao Oeste at around 11:50 p.m. on Friday, police said.
A fistfight ensued among them before Dolpo held Solani while Russel stabbed him using a knife on various parts of his body, stated the police report.
Dr. Ryan Ruiz pronounced Solani dead at 12:40 a.m.
Panay police station launched a hot pursuit that led to the suspects’ arrest./PN
