BACOLOD City – In Barangay Daro, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, a woman was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation.
Police identified her as Merli Wacay Jacuba of Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental.
Jacuba was caught after she sold several sachets of shabu to an undercover officer along Adecoa Street around 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 24, a police report showed.
Officers from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit staged the operation.
Jacuba was detained at the Dumaguete City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
