BACOLOD City – Police were still identifying who might be responsible for the slashing the throat of a woman in Sitio Caridad, Barangay Patun-an, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
The 61-year-old resident Rebeca Bracamonte was found dead around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
A family member whose name was not mentioned in the report found Bracamonte unconscious more than two hours after she went outside their house to reap swamp cabbage – locally known as kangkong – in a nearby sugarcane plantation, investigators said.
A pail drenched with blood was found beside Bracamonte.
Police were still determining the motive in Bracamonte’s death./PN
