BACOLOD City – Six persons were arrested in Barangay Sum-ag for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling.
They were the 63-year-old Eduardo Enriquez, 47-year-old Arturo Galve, 44-year-old Ronilo Galvez, 39-year-old Ramel Gabuana, 75-year-old Carlos Medina, and Paquito Galve, 59 – all residents of the village – a police report showed.
Officers from Police Station 9 caught them playing the card game tong-its on Thursday, the report further stated.
Playing cards and P117 gamble money were confiscated from them.
They were detained at the Police Station 9 custodial facility./PN
