BACOLOD City – Charged with kidnapping, a man was arrested along LT Vista Street in Barangay Singcang-Airport.

He was the 54-year-old Victor Espina Jr. of Ormoc City, Leyte, police said.

Joint elements of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group, 1st Negros Occidental Police Mobile Force Company and Police Station 8 arrested Espina around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Espina was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Ceasar Buenagua of the Regional Trial Court Branch 160 in Pasig City, Metro Manila issued.

Espina was temporarily detained at the Police Station 8 facility.

He will be transferred to the custody of the Pasig City police station./PN
