BACOLOD City – After creating alarm and scandal, a man was arrested in Barangay San Isidro, Toboso, Negros Occidental.
He was the 34-year-old resident Jonah Mae Mahilum, a police report showed.
Mahilum was having a drinking binge with Carlito Requinto when he went amuck and fired his .45-caliber gun around 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Ariel Pico, officer-in-charge of the Toboso police station, said cousins Jessie Buloc-Buloc, 24, and Richard Buloc-Buloc, 29, were hurt.
The Buloc-Bulocs – who were Mahilum’s neighbors – were rushed to the Municipal Health Unit for treatment.
Recovered from Mahilum’s possession were the gun, two magazines and two live bullets, police said.
Mahilum failed to show pertinent documents for the gun’s registration.
He was detained at the Toboso police station lockup facility and facing appropriate charges, police said./PN
