ILOILO City – Two residents of Barangay Gustilo, La Paz district got into a fight.
Ma. Luz Bedia, 35, was wounded on various parts of the body as a result, a police report showed.
Bedia told the police she was at a neighbor’s house when a friend told her their 25-year-old neighbor Edralin Tiwana was calling out to her, saying, “Ma. Luz, gwa ka da, gaga ka! Diin ka? Gwa ka da!”
Apparently Tiwana was accusing Bedia of prodding a friend, Yolanda Jubelag, to tell gossip she felt alluded to.
When Bedia responded, Tiwana allegedly told her, “Ikaw gid gasugo kay Yolanda nga ginapabati-batian [ako] istorya. Gaga ka,” the police report stated.
The confrontation n turned physical.
Bedia had the incident, which happened at around 3:48 p.m. on March 8, recorded at the La Paz police station.
Tiwana cannot be reached for comment as of this writing.
Bedia was referred to the West Visayas State University Medical Center for her injuries to get checked./PN
