ILOILO City – Police in La Paz district detained a resident of Barangay Nabitasan accused of stealing from a computer shop providing coin-operated internet service in Lapuz.
The 22-year-old Jonel Peñasales Jr. allegedly stole “more or less P3,000” worth of “pisonet” proceeds, a police report showed.
The owner of the pisonet machines – John Hammad Dela Mar, 24, of Barrio Obrero, Lapuz – and tanod (watchman) Ronelo Abadoya arrested Peñasales and turned him over to the La Paz police station.
Peñasales pulled the coin slots of the pisonet machines and grabbed the amount on April 22, witness John Andrey Dela Mar told the police.
Two pisonet machines incurred damage worth “more or less P1,500,” the police report stated.
Peñasales was hauled to the custodial facility of the La Paz police station after his arrest at around 11:30 p.m./PN
