BACOLOD City – Simultaneous police operations in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental resulted in the arrest of 11 illegal drug suspects.
All suspects were detained at the San Carlos City police station. They face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
First to be caught were Janessa Flores Biadal, 29, of Barangay 6; John Marco Cana Bacurnay, 31, of Barangay Buluangan; and Jerry Ganaganag Abel, a 26-year-old pedicab driver from Barangay 5, all in San Carlos.
Suspected shabu worth P840 were seized from them after their arrest at around 6:50 p.m. last Friday in Barangay 6.
At around 6:52 p.m. the following were arrested: Jereco Flores Laguda of Barangay 6; Jade Flores Laguda, 28, a construction worker from Barangay 6; and Ian Cristopher Gasalatan Canete, 18, a college student from Barangay Ermita, all in San Carlos.
Confiscated from them was suspected shabu worth P12,000.
Just a few minutes later at around 6:54 p.m. police apprehended another group of drug suspects in the same village.
They were Erick Tejano Ybanez, 37, and Romeo Mahusay Legaspina, 53, of Barangay 6; Edmund Tapayan Dungog, 36, and Hernani Pastolero Paris, 32, both pedicab drivers from Barangay Rizal; and Archie Marcellana Pontino, 27, a pedicab driver from Barangay 1.
Officers seized from them P840 worth of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
Operatives from the San Carlos City police station and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office staged the operations./PN
