ILOILO City – Authorities arrested a police officer and his suspected mistress after they were traced by the former’s wife in their alleged love nest in Barangay Veterans Village.
The wife, 27-year-old Charm Nazareno, said she is determined to sue her husband Patrolman Glen Nazareno and 22-year-old Rhesa Funtecha of Barangay Switch, Tapaz, Capiz.
Charm – who was tailing his husband – said she caught the two living together in a boardinghouse on Friday. She then called the police for assistance.
Nazareno and Funtecha were detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 1.
Nazareno, who was assigned in the Police Regional Office 6, faces charges for concubinage and violation of Republic Act 9262, or the Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004./PN
