BACOLOD City – Twelve sachets of suspected shabu were seized from a man in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Estefania.
The 31-year-old Vivencio Joseph Benignos yielded the suspected illegal drugs valued at around P180,000, police said.
Officers of Police Station 1 staged the entrapment operation, which led to the arrest of Benignos on Nov. 19.
Aside from suspected illegal drugs, a P1,000 marked money and cellular phone were also seized.
Police also impounded Benignos’ Ford Ranger pick-up.
Benignos was now detained. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him./PN
