ILOILO City – Police arrested a man for illegal gambling in Barangay Poblacion, Banate, Iloilo.
The 51-year-old Ernesto Silvela of Barangay Alacaygan, Banate was caught soliciting bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies” around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 10, a police report showed.
Recovered from his possession was P270 bet money, the report added.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Banate municipal police station, facing charges./PN
