ILOILO City – Police nabbed two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Felomena, Arevalo district.
They were Mark Anthony Berlin of San Nicholas, Oton, Iloilo, and Dondee Boy Salmon of Barangay San Jose, San Miguel, Iloilo – both were former overseas Filipino workers, police said.
Prior to their arrest, Berlin and Salmon allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,600.
Five more sachets of suspected illegal drugs valued at around P60,000 were seized during their arrest around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 8, a police report showed.
The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of the Arevalo police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
