ILOILO City – Police were still investigating the death of a fishpond caretaker in Barangay Tamboilan, Dumangas, Iloilo.
The 60-year-old Sonny Aguilar of Calinog, Iloilo was found dead near the fishpond he watches over around 6 p.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
Investigators from the Dumangas municipal police station said Aguilar was last seen on Sunday.
Aguilar was having a drinking binge with his friends near the fishpond that day, the investigators added.
Responding police officers did not find any wounds on Aguilar’s body suggestive of murder. They were suspecting that the victim died due to carjack arrest.
The officers, however, have not yet ruled out foul play in Aguilar’s death./PN
