ILOILO City – For possessing unlicensed firearm, a man was nabbed in Barangay Canabajan, Calinog, Iloilo.
A .45-caliber pistol with ammunition was seized from Joebanny Dacusay, a resident of the village, police said.
The Calinog police served the 54-year-old Dacusay a search warrant around 6:30 a.m. on Nov 19.
He failed to present pertinent papers showing legal ownership of the weapon, police said.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against Dacusay./PN
