ILOILO City – For illegal cockfighting, eight persons were arrested in Barangay San Nicolas, Oton, Iloilo.
Police identified them as Jaylord Clavel, 42; Dindo Aboloc, 38, of Barangay San Juan, Molo district; Louie Jim Dubria, 23, of Barangay Binanogan, Valderama, Antique; Peter Andrino, 59; Ronald Polo, 51; Jowen Panique, 33; Bonifacio Baunillo, 67; Joseph Ymon, 23.
They were caught around 4 p.m. on Dec. 20, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession were 30 live game fowls, six gaffs blade with scabbard, and P3,910 bet money.
The suspects were brought to the municipal police station. Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974 will be filed against them./PN
