ILOILO City – A 49-year-old man landed in a hospital after he got hacked in Barangay Ingay, Tubungan, Iloilo.
Laborer John Francis Trasadas of Barangay Binaliuan, Tigbauan was recuperating at the Tubungan Rural Health Unit. He bore hacked wounds on the forehead and knees, police said.
Rey Saad, 39, of Barangay Cararaan, Leon, Iloilo was tagged the suspect.
According to police investigation, Trasadas was on his way home when attacked by the bolo-wielding Saad around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 16. It was, however, still unclear what was the motive in the incident.
The suspect fled but was later arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Leon.
Police took him to the municipal police station for filing of appropriate charges./PN
