
TWO Miss Universe pageant candidates tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) even before flying to Florida, United States of America.
These candidates are Miss Universe Argentina Alina Luz Akselrad and Miss Universe India Adline Castelino.
On their respective Instagram accounts, the candidates share that despite taking the extra precaution to curb the virus, they are not immune from it and ask for their fans’ prayers for their quick recovery so they may compete in the upcoming competition.
Argentinian beauty queen Alina Luz Akselrad said despite taking the necessary precautions, she was still tested positive for COVID.
Indian model and beauty queen Adline Castelino exhibited flu-like symptoms and later found out that she had tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement released on her personal Instagram account, Adline mentioned she had quarantined herself and is currently taking precautions to get better.
Earlier this year, Miss Universe Malaysia Francisca Luhong James also contracted the virus but has since recovered and is now on her way to compete for the coveted crown.(GMA News)
