ILOILO City – A motorcycle-riding elderly died in a vehicular accident in Barangay Bungca, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
Norberto Sazon, 67, of the town’s Barangay Licu-an sustained fatal head and body injuries.
According to the police, the victim’s motorcycle crashed against a passenger bus driven by Vicente Rodriguez, 30, of Barangay Camalig, Jaro district.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. on Aug. 7.
The bus was heading towards Iloilo City carrying passengers, although police have yet to disclose how many. Their condition was also unclear as of press time.
The driver, meanwhile, was detained at the Barotac Nuevo police station./PN
