ILOILO City – To curb crime, more personnel of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) were deployed to the streets.
ICPO director, Police Colonel Uldarico Garbanzos ordered ICPO’s motorized patrol unit members to render duty at night, on top of other cops conducting checkpoints.
A call center agent from Barangay South San Jose, Molo district was a victim of attempted rape last week in Barangay Airport, Mandurriao.
She was onboard a tricycle driven by a certain “Jepoy” around 9:30 p.m.
The driver allegedly stopped and dragged her to a grassy area.
The victim shouted for help, catching the attention of security guards in a nearby subdivision.
The suspect fled leaving behind his tricycle but was arrested hours later./PN
