ILOILO City – A bet collector was arrested in Barangay Cruz, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo on Saturday.
John Aivahn Biñas, 32, a resident of the village, was caught collecting bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies” around 1:15 p.m., police said.
Recovered from the suspect were gambling paraphernalia and P1,220 bet money.
Biñas was taken to the municipal police station. Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling would be filed against him./PN
