BACOLOD City – About P1 million worth of alleged shabu was confiscated in a joint buy-bust operation of the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Barangay Don Jorge L. Araneta, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Thirty-year-old Sofia Marie Dela Cruz, a resident of the village, was arrested around 10:35 a.m. on Nov. 26.
Police said the suspect sold two plastic sachets to a poseur buyer for P30,000.
Also recovered from Dela Cruz were a .45-caliber pistol and several ammunitions, a police report showed.
The suspect was detained at the Bago City police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) would be filed against her./PN
