AKLAN – A heated argument following a drinking session led to hacking in Sitio Binaklingan, Barangay Archangel, Balete town in this province.
The 34-year-old Pet Anthony, a resident of the said place, sustained a hack wound on his head. He was recuperating at the hospital.
Balete police identified the suspect as Mars Cebuano, 25, and a resident of the town’s Sitio Talimanok, Barangay Morales.
According to the Balete Municipal Police Station (MPS), Anthony and Cebuano were having a drinking session with some of their neighbors on Sunday, July 7, but the former left earlier and went home.
Police said the drunk suspect, while walking on his way home after a drinking session, was shouting and looking for a fight.
This prompted Anthony to go out of his house to talk to the suspect, but an altercation ensued and led to hacking.
The suspect was arrested after the incident. He was detained at the Balete MPS and will face charges for frustrated homicide./PN
