Comelec delists 42 party-list groups from 2025 polls

MANILA – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has delisted 42 party-list groups ahead of the 2025 midterm elections.

In a resolution, the Comelec En Banc stated that the delisting and cancelation of the registrations of these party-list groups is effective immediately.

Despite this, the poll body assured in its resolution that the delisting is “without prejudice to the failure to file a Manifestation of Intent to Participate of retained party-list groups or organization, and to the filing of any Petitions for cancellation or disqualification against any party, organization, or coalition and/or its nominees for the 12 May 2025 National and Local Elections.”

In its resolution, the Comelec delisted 31 party-list groups for failing to obtain at least two percent of the votes cast for the party-list system and failure to obtain a seat in the second round of seat allocation for the party-list system in the last two elections.

These are 1-CARE, ABEKA, ACTS-OFW, AKO BISDAK, AKMA-PTM, AP PARTYLIST, Anakpawis, Ang Kabuhayan, ALIF, ANAC-IP, ANGKLA, ABS, AASENSO, ABANTE PILIPINAS, Butil Farmers Party, KABALIKAT, MAYPAGASA, KOOP-KAMPI, AYUDA SANDUGO, KONTRA BROWNOUT PARTYLIST, MARVELOUS TAYO, 1 UTAP BICOL, PTA, PLM, PEACE, PRAI, PPP, BUKLOD FILIPINO, 1-ANG EDUKASYON, WOW PILIPINAS, and YACAP.

The other party-list groups delisted for failing to participate in the last two elections are 1-ABAA, ABYAN ILONGGO, AKIN, ALON, AMANA, ANG PDR, CLASE, KGB, MELCHORA, NACTODAP, and PDDS./PN
