ILOILO – A high-value drug suspect identified as alias “Totong” was arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Banate Municipal Police Station’s (MPS) Station Drug Enforcement Team on Tuesday, November 5.
The operation took place at around 6:25 p.m. in Barangay Carmelo, Banate town.
The 35-year-old unemployed resident of the town’s Barangay Magdalo was found with around 100 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P680,000.
Banate police said the arrest of Totong marks a significant accomplishment in their ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.
The suspect, who was detained at the Banate MPS, will faces charges for violating the Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
