ILOILO City – Police arrested a carpenter during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cuartero, Jaro district on Monday, September 1.
The 34-year-old alias “Peter”, a resident of the said place, was caught by anti-drug operatives led by the Iloilo City Police Office’s (ICPO) City Drug Enforcement Unit at 8:35 p.m. after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover police officer.
Peter, classified as a high-value target, yielded five plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 120 grams, buy-bust money, and non-drug-related items.
The suspect is now under police custody for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
