NEGROS Occidental – A 58-year-old man was shot to death by unidentified gunmen on Thursday morning, September 18, in Hacienda Siason, Barangay Caliban, Murcia town.
Murcia police said the victim identified as alias “Crispin”, married, and a resident of the said place, was about to go to work as a welder in Bacolod City when the incident happened at around 6:10 a.m.
While the victim was walking along the road, at least two armed men waylaid him and opened fire, hitting him in the different parts of his body.
Police said the suspects fled to unknown direction after the attack, while the victim succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
Recovered from the crime scene were three empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol.
The Murcia Municipal Police Station requested assistance from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) while conducting follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation against the assailants.
As of this writing, the local police have yet to determine the motive behind the killing./PN
