ILOILO – Three men were injured after a truck rammed into their motorcycle in Barangay Carmelo, Banate, Iloilo around 11:15 a.m. on Friday, October 10.
The victims identified as aliases “Don”, “Erik”, and “Boy” sustained injuries in the different parts of their bodies. They were recuperating at the hospital.
According to Police Master Sergeant Jhan Baylon of the Banate Municipal Police Station (MPS), the motorcycle was en route to the town proper from Barangay Bobon while the truck driven by alias “Lino” was traversing the opposite lane when the accident occurred.
Baylon said the truck failed to return to its lane after overtaking the pick-up and crashed into the victims’ motorcycle.
The truck driver was taken into custody by the Banate MPS for proper disposition.
Police said the driver has offered to shoulder the victims’ medical bills./PN
