BACOLOD City – A 54-year-old businessman was shot dead by an unidentified gunman on Saturday night, November 8, in Barangay 23 here.
Police identified the victim as alias “Mikoy”, a resident of the city’s Easthomes, Barangay Estefania.
According to a report from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), the shooting happened around 9:20 p.m. along Galo BBB Street, Purok Masinolondon. Initial investigation showed that Taasan was shot multiple times by a lone gunman using an undetermined caliber of firearm.
The victim sustained wounds in different parts of his body. He was rushed to the Doctor’s Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival at around 10:10 p.m. by attending physician Dr. Louie Vincent Martir.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene aboard a dark gray sedan-type vehicle.
