VICE GANDA wasted no time addressing a video of himself where he was chased down by a netizen at the airport, with the latter claiming that she didn’t know who he was.
The actor-comedian has been making rounds on social media after one Jessamine Tamaray Concepcion uploaded a video chasing him at the airport while claiming that she forgot who he was.
The video showed Concepcion chasing Vice at the airport while saying, “Si ano ‘to, artista ito. Si ano ‘to. Huy! Ito ‘yung sikat na artista sa Pilipinas.”
“Nakalimutan ko name ni Vice Ganda pero namansin pa rin kahit parang Nag tampo o galit. Ewan ko bakit nakalimutan ko name niya. ‘EAT Bulaga’ ksi ang Pinapanood ko,” she captioned her post.
Concepcion, who changed her Facebook name and locked her profile, eventually took the video down, but not before other netizens have saved it and reuploaded on social media.
The viral video was addressed by Vice on the January 5 episode of “It’s Showtime” when he came across a contestant who looked like Concepcion.
According to the “Call Me Mother” star, Concepcion could not claim that she didn’t know who Vice was, as she recognized him immediately.
“Echusera [siya], hindi raw niya alam pangalan ko. Kitang kita ko siya noong nakita niya ako. Sabi niya, ‘Ay, si Vice Ganda.’ Tapos vinideo ako. Ang layo ng nilakad niya ah, talagang binwisit niya ako,” he said, while imitating what the netizen allegedly did at the time.
Vice Ganda said that he didn’t want to fully share his side of the story since Concepcion might be subjected to more backlash.
“Ayoko na ikwento kasi maba bash ka lalo, day. Malala. Nang-ano siya. Cinontent ako, girl. Nagmamadali na ako, male late na ako,” said the actor, who was then about to board his plane.
The actor-comedian is the lead star of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Call Me Mother,” where he bagged the Best Actor award for his performance.
