ILOILO City — Operatives of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) apprehended three high-value suspects and seized about 260 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.768 million in two separate buy-bust operations on February 19.
In Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo district, at about 6:56 p.m., authorities collared alias “Tol,” 37, single, of Barangay 7, San Miguel, Iloilo, and alias “Bords,” 41, married, of Barangay Calajuan, Mandurriao district.
Police confiscated six sachets and two plastic bags of suspected shabu weighing 180 grams with an estimated value of P1,224,000, along with buy-bust money and other non-drug-related items.
The operation was led by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU 6) with support from the Regional Intelligence Division 6 (RID 6), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit (PDEG SOU 6), and the Iloilo City Police Station 6.
In a separate operation in Barangay Compania Central, Molo district, police arrested another high-value individual identified as alias “Jomar,” 25, single, of Barangay Rizal, La Paz district.
Recovered from the suspect were 16 heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 80 grams valued at P544,000, as well as buy-bust money and other items.
The operation was also led by RPDEU 6 with support from RID 6, PDEG SOU 6, and Iloilo City Police Station 4./PN
