
GUIMARAS — A total of 1,745 college students in the Municipality of Jordan received the second tranche of their educational assistance on March 19, with each beneficiary receiving P2,500 during a distribution held at the GUIMELCO Covered Gym.
The payout was facilitated by the office of JC Rahman A. Nava in coordination with the provincial government.
Guimaras Gov. Ma. Lucille L. Nava reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to supporting students, emphasizing that youth empowerment remains a central priority of the administration.
She said the provincial government, in partnership with national agencies, continues to work toward addressing the needs of students and ensuring that educational support programs are sustained.
The assistance forms part of ongoing efforts to help students cope with academic expenses and encourage them to pursue their studies.
Student-beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the financial aid, noting that it would help ease their daily expenses and schooling needs./PN
