ANTIQUE — A collaborative manhunt led to the arrest of Antique province’s No. 4 most wanted person in Barangay San Miguel, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental at around 11:19 a.m. on April 26.
The 31-year-old suspect identified as alias “Arcey,” a resident of Valderrama, Antique, was apprehended for two counts of rape and two counts of statutory rape. Authorities also tagged him as the No. 2 most wanted person at the municipal level.
The arrest was carried out by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 64 in San Jose, Antique, dated February 19, 2024. No bail was recommended for the charges.
Arcey, who was working as a migrant worker (sakada), was intercepted through the joint efforts of the Valderrama Municipal Police Station (MPS), Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Bacolod City Police Office – Station 9, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Antique Police Provincial Office.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Valderrama MPS for proper disposition before being turned over to the court./PN
