ILOILO City – Police apprehended a 44-year-old man listed as the third most wanted person in Miag-ao, Iloilo.
Alias “Apa,” single and a resident of the town’s Zone 5, Barangay Baybay Norte, was arrested at around 4:41 p.m. on June 29 in Barangay Guibongan.
The tracker team of the Miag-ao Municipal Police Station, with support from the 1st Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, served the warrant of arrest for the crime of murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code.
The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court – Branch 67 in Guimbal, Iloilo. The court recommended no bail for his temporary freedom.
“This arrest reflects the dedication of our personnel to ensure that individuals facing serious criminal charges are brought before the courts,” said Police Regional Office 6 director Brigadier Gen. Randulf T. Tuaño.
He added: “We will continue to strengthen inter-unit coordination and work closely with our communities to locate wanted persons and uphold the rule of law, because every arrest strengthens the safety and security of our communities.”/PN
