ILOILO City — The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) arrested 55 drug personalities and seized P28 million worth of illegal drugs in month-long operations conducted across the province.
From June 1 to 30, law enforcement units carried out 39 anti-drug operations, resulting in the confiscation of four kilograms of suspected shabu and 355 grams of marijuana.
Among those arrested, 18 were classified as high-value individuals (HVIs) while 37 were identified as street-level individuals (SLIs).
The IPPO’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) recorded the highest haul, seizing illegal drugs valued at P9.3 million. This was followed by the Estancia Municipal Police Station (MPS) with approximately P5.2 million, and the Balasan MPS with P3.9 million.
In terms of apprehensions, the Estancia MPS topped the list with 10 arrests, followed by the Dumangas MPS with six.
IPPO director Colonel Bayani Razalan assured the public of sustained, intensified operations against illegal drugs. He emphasized that these efforts align with the Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) commitment to responsive, trusted, and transformative policing for a safer Western Visayas.
