ILOILO City — The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) seized P4.9 million worth of shabu and arrested 26 fugitives in week-long operations across the province.
Data from the IPPO showed that from August 1 to 7, police units conducted seven anti-drug operations that resulted in the arrest of nine individuals and the confiscation of 724 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P4.9 million.
Of the nine arrested, seven were classified as high-value individuals (HVIs), while two were categorized as street-level individuals (SLIs).
Meanwhile, in its campaign against wanted persons, the IPPO arrested 26 fugitives during the same period. Of these, 12 were wanted for heinous crimes, while 14 were facing charges for other offenses.
IPPO director Col. Bayani Razalan lauded the operating units for their relentless efforts in tracking down wanted persons and drug personalities and ensuring the effective implementation of warrants of arrest and anti-drug operations.
“These accomplishments reflect our unwavering commitment to enforcing the law and ensuring that wanted persons and drug peddlers are brought before the courts,” Razalan said./PN
