BACOLOD City – A misunderstanding led to a stabbing incident in Barangay Mabini, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The 30-year-old Niño De La Cruz of Hacienda Salvacion, Barangay Mabini died.
The 35-year-old Leo Tipan of Hacienda Imelda, Barangay Mabini attacked him around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The two had a misunderstanding in the middle of a drinking binge with one Allan Inocencio. Tipan drew out a knife tucked in his waist and stabbed De La Cruz on the chest, investigation showed.
Tipan fled after the incident. Police are now hunting him.
De La Cruz was rushed to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic but later transferred to the Cadiz District Hospital where he was declared dead./PN
