BACOLOD City – In Purok Uson, Barangay Purisima, Manapla, Negros Occidental, a motorcycle hit a mentally-ill woman.
Marilou Guasa, 56, died of severe head and body injuries on Oct. 7.
According to Inspector Edencio Gregorio, Manapla police chief, Guasa was rushed to the nearest hospital but died along the way.
From what police investigators gathered, Guasa suddenly crossed the road.
The driver of the motorcycle that hit Guasa, Ricky Pamposa, was detained at the Manapla police station. But he was later released. He struck a settlement with Guasa’s family, police said./PN
