BACOLOD City – A swindling suspect was arrested in Murcia, Negros Occidental.
An alleged victim — a barangay captain from Tabao, Valladolid — positively identified a woman she knew as the 37-year-old Jenny Rose Duterte Garcia as the suspect.
Police said the suspect also introduces herself as Jenny Rose Alit Dimson of Barangay Singcang here. At the Murcia police station, she identified herself as Rosalie Duterte Alit of Barangay Blumentritt in the town.
Barangay Captain Gina Ellaga said the suspect took a huge amount from her. She did not disclose how much.
She reported her case to the Valladolid police, which sent a “flash alarm” to their counterparts across the province.
On Monday the Murcia police informed the Valladolid police about a woman they have arrested. Ellaga identified her as the suspect.
Estafa charges have been filed against the suspect, who was detained at the Valladolid police station lockup cell./PN
