BACOLOD City – A second-year student of the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College – Alijis was found dead yesterday.
Locals discovered the lifeless body of the 19-year-old Melcah Melgar at a sugarcane plantation in Barangay Alijis around 7 a.m.
As of this writing, Scene of the Crime Operatives were still looking into the circumstances surrounding her death, including the possibility of rape or attempted rape. The suspect/s remained unidentified as well.
According to her father Carlos, the victim went to school on Tuesday but was not able to come home. He said they called Melgar’s phone but she was not answering. (With Aksyon Radyo Bacolod/PN)
