ILOILO – A motorcycle hit a truck in Barangay Bacuranan, Passi City on Saturday. The motorcycle driver died.
The 28-year-old Joemarie Irenea of Barangay Tabugon, Dingle, Iloilo was a road grader operator.
According to the police, Irenea was bound for a construction site in Barangay Aglalana, Passi City when he crashed against the truck running in the opposite director around 8:30 a.m.
Irenea died of severe head and body injuries at the Don Valerio Palmares Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Passi City.
Witnesses said Irenea was driving fast, according to the police.
The truck was owned by Robina Corp. and driven by Arthur Sarmiento of Barangay Punong Grande, Dueñas, Iloilo.
Sarmiento surrendered to the Passi City police./PN
